Forms & Events
Collect responses, invite guests and plan something meaningful—without requiring everyone to install Spaces. These rules supplement the Spaces Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, Community Guidelines, and Safety & Enforcement policy.
Policy draft for launch review. This feature-specific text describes the intended V98 controls and must be reviewed before publication; it does not independently replace the existing Terms or Privacy Policy.
1. Who can create and respond
A signed-in Spaces account is required to create and manage a Form or Event. Visitors may respond to public or invited Forms and Events without creating an account when the organizer enables guest access. Responses may be limited or closed by their stated deadline and safety controls. Organizers control their own event or form content and can see submitted data; guests cannot access other people's responses.
2. Forms, purpose and consent
Organizers must clearly identify the purpose of their form, ask only for information reasonably needed, and have appropriate permission to collect, use or contact people using their responses. If collecting an email address is optional, mark it as optional. Do not solicit passwords, access tokens, payment-card details, government identity numbers, sensitive medical records or similar high-risk information through general-purpose public forms. Do not direct the service toward children or solicit children's information without meeting applicable law.
3. Publication windows and deletion
A Form's collection window must be between 1 and 90 days. The website shows days remaining, then hours remaining within the last 24 hours; it is not a live second-by-second countdown. The owner may close collection early but cannot silently extend the original publication deadline. Forms and submitted answers remain in an owner-only results archive for up to 90 days after collection ends, then are scheduled for deletion. Owners can delete a Form and its answers sooner. For published Forms with submissions, Spaces may send the verified creator a one-time transactional email when collection finishes, linking to their private results. Records separately required for legitimate safety or legal purposes may persist under the main Privacy Policy.
4. Events, invitations and RSVP records
Event owners can invite guests by email, share public or unlisted links, or use private invitation links. RSVP states include accepted, declined, maybe and awaiting response; the owner should not interpret provider acceptance as proof of delivery or guest attendance. Guest names, emails and RSVP details are visible to that event's owner and authorized safety personnel only as needed. Events and guest rosters remain available until 90 days after the RSVP collection deadline, then are scheduled for deletion. Owners can delete an Event and its guest roster sooner. Do not add another person's contact details without a legitimate reason to invite them.
5. Email invitations and notifications
Spaces may send event setup confirmations and organizer-requested invitations through its configured email service. Organizers must not use invitation or reminder tools for unsolicited advertising, purchased email lists, misleading subject lines or mass spam. Emails may be delayed, blocked, filtered or rejected; Spaces can show when an email provider accepted a message, but this does not guarantee that it reached the recipient. Promotional email campaigns, if offered separately, may require additional consent and controls.
6. Prohibited uses
- Child exploitation, nonconsensual intimate media, trafficking, threats of violence, fraud, identity theft, or other illegal activity.
- Scams, phishing, deceptive event tickets or solicitations, malware, credential collection, or impersonation of a person or organization.
- Harassment, unlawful discrimination, doxxing, sending invitations to intimidate someone, or publishing a guest's private information without permission.
- Copyright or privacy violations, exploitative solicitation, dangerous content, or links deliberately designed to evade review.
Lawful mature or adult-oriented material is not automatically treated as illegal simply because it is adult-oriented; however, Spaces may limit public display, previews or exposure where needed for age-appropriate safety, consent, security and compliance with applicable law. This policy does not protect genuinely unlawful or exploitative content.
7. Reports and moderation
Visitors can report Forms and Events to the Spaces moderation queue. Authorized Founder and Staff moderators may review relevant reports and public content, suspend or restore access, log decisions and take appropriate account-level measures consistent with the main Terms. Moderator reports and audit records are separate from a respondent's private answers; access to those answers is not granted merely by opening the report list. Wrongful reports and enforcement decisions can be brought to Spaces Support for review.
8. Availability, retention and your responsibility
Spaces is in beta and cannot promise that a guest will submit before a deadline, an email will arrive or a scheduled event will occur. Organizers remain responsible for their event details, any payment or third-party agreement, communicating changes and meeting applicable laws. Spaces does not itself provide venue booking, ticket guarantees or emergency services.
